For studios, freelancers and agencies

WordPress hosting for
agencies and web designers

Web design studios, freelance designers and developers, marketing and SEO agencies, brand studios. You are not the one who has to be sold on hosting - you already know what you want, and you have been burnt by a reseller panel or a shared box with thirty client sites on it. This is what we would want if we were you.

What agencies and web designers actually need from a host

Not a feature list. The three things that decide whether your site helps you or embarrasses you.

Every client in their own container

Thirty client sites on one shared box is one outdated plugin away from a very bad week, and the client whose site was fine will not care that it was not their fault. Every site here is its own isolated container with its own database - a compromise on one cannot reach the others.

Build it before it goes anywhere near their domain

Deploy on new.theirdomain.com, build the whole thing on a real address with a real certificate, send them the link for sign-off - all while their current site carries on serving customers. When they approve it, one button moves their domain across and rewrites the links inside the content to match.

Hand it over, or don't

Keep the site on your account and bill it however you like, or hand the client their own login and let them pay us the five dollars directly. No reseller tier to qualify for, no minimum, no contract, and nothing that makes leaving awkward for either of you.

Everything a client site usually has to do

All of it runs on a $5 plan. WordPress plugins do the work; we keep the thing they run on fast, patched and backed up.

  • A separate isolated container per client site
  • A staging address before go-live, on their own domain
  • Plugin and theme control per site, from one dashboard
  • Backups you can restore yourself, without opening a ticket
  • Clean handover of a site to the client's own account
  • Multisite when a client genuinely needs a network
Where your data lives

Every client site and database sits in an Australian data centre, on hardware we run, in a city you choose per site. When a client asks you where their website lives, you have an answer with a place name in it.

Need more than a small site?

Every site runs in its own container, and when yours needs more we build a custom one to fit - so you never pay for resources you don't use.

Running a bigger site?

A busy online store, a marketplace or a site with lots of people logging in needs more room - even when it's quiet. We'll build it a container to fit, from $5 a month extra.

FAQ

Agencies & Web Designers - questions we get asked

Is there a reseller programme or a partner tier?

No, and that is deliberate. Every site is five dollars a month whoever is paying for it. Put client sites on your own account and bill them however you like, or hand each client their own login. Nothing here makes leaving awkward for either of you.

Can I build a site before the client's domain points at us?

Yes, and it is the normal way to do it here. Deploy on new.theirdomain.com, build the whole thing on a real address with a real certificate, send them the link for sign-off. Their current site keeps trading throughout. When they approve it, one button moves the domain across and rewrites the links in their content to match.

What happens if one client site gets hacked?

It stays in that client's container. Every site has its own filesystem and its own database user, so a compromise cannot walk sideways into the rest of your clients - which it very much can on a shared box with thirty sites on it.

What exactly do I get with a "container"?

Your own isolated Docker container running Nginx, PHP-FPM, and WordPress. It's not shared hosting where you're competing with hundreds of other sites for the same WordPress installation. Your container has its own filesystem, its own database user, its own SSL, and its own NVMe storage. You can reboot it, redeploy it, or destroy it from your dashboard without asking anyone.

Do you back up my site?

We offer an optional Daily Backups add-on that takes a daily off-site snapshot of your full WordPress site (files plus database), keeps 7 days of history, and lets you download or one-click restore from your dashboard. You can add it at any time from your dashboard - we never silently charge for it. We strongly recommend it for any production site.

We also recommend exporting your WordPress content periodically yourself (Tools → Export in WP-Admin) and keeping copies offsite. Pricing for the add-on is shown on our website and in your dashboard.

Will you move my existing site over for me?

Yes, and it doesn't cost anything - it's included on both plans, and there is no setup fee, no migration fee and no minimum term attached to it. Tell us where the site is now and give us access, and we'll bring the files and the database across, get it running on our servers, check it over, and only then tell you exactly when to change your DNS. Your existing site stays up and serving visitors the entire time, so there's no window where your site is offline while we work.

While we're in there we'll set Cloudflare up for you as well, if you want it - free CDN, caching and DDoS protection in front of your site. That's also included, and also something we just do rather than something you buy.

If you'd rather move it yourself, you can: the dashboard has import tools that take the common WordPress backup formats, including All-in-One WP Migration and Duplicator archives. Either way, the answer to "what does the move cost" is nothing.

Do you offer a free trial?

No free trial, but the cost to try it is $5. If it's not right for you within the first month, email us and we'll refund it - no questions asked.
