For clinics and practitioners

WordPress hosting for
health professionals

Psychologists, physios, dentists, GPs, allied health, remedial massage, veterinary clinics. Your site is usually the first thing an anxious person sees, often at eleven at night, and it needs to look calm, load fast and make booking obvious. It also needs to be somewhere you can point to when someone asks where your data lives.

What health professionals actually need from a host

Not a feature list. The three things that decide whether your site helps you or embarrasses you.

Your website is a shop window, not a patient record system

The single best thing you can do for privacy is keep clinical information out of WordPress entirely - it belongs in your practice management software, which is built for it. Your site's job is to explain what you do, establish trust and hand the booking over. We will happily talk through where the line sits.

Booking systems that survive a plugin update

Practice sites lean hard on booking and form plugins, and those are exactly what break at 2am after an auto-update. Nothing here updates itself behind your back - you decide when, from the dashboard, and there is a backup to roll back to if it goes badly.

A locked-down login page as standard

Health practices get probed constantly, because a clinic site with a compromised admin account is worth something. Your WordPress login is closed to the public by default and reached through your hosting dashboard, so there is no public page for anyone to sit and guess passwords at.

Everything a health practice site usually has to do

All of it runs on a $5 plan. WordPress plugins do the work; we keep the thing they run on fast, patched and backed up.

  • Online booking, or a deep link into your practice software
  • Practitioner profiles with qualifications and AHPRA numbers
  • New patient intake forms
  • Fee and rebate information
  • Telehealth instructions
  • Clear contact details and after-hours guidance
Where your data lives

Your site and its database sit in Australian data centres, on hardware we run, and your data does not leave the country. For a practice working through its Privacy Act obligations that takes the cross-border disclosure question off the table entirely. You pick the city yourself when you set the site up, so if your indemnity insurer or your professional body ever asks where it is hosted, you already know the answer.

Need more than a small site?

Every site runs in its own container, and when yours needs more we build a custom one to fit - so you never pay for resources you don't use.

Running a bigger site?

A busy online store, a marketplace or a site with lots of people logging in needs more room - even when it's quiet. We'll build it a container to fit, from $5 a month extra.

FAQ

Health Professionals - questions we get asked

Can I store patient information on the site?

You can, but you almost certainly should not. Clinical information belongs in your practice management software, which is built for it and audited for it. Your website's job is to explain what you do and hand the booking over. Happy to talk through where that line sits for your practice.

Can I connect my booking system?

Yes. Most practice management platforms give you an embed or a booking link, and both work fine. If you would rather take bookings in WordPress itself there are good plugins for it, and we will not deactivate them.

Is the site secure enough for a clinic?

Your WordPress login is closed to the public by default and reached through your hosting dashboard, so there is no public login page for anyone to sit and guess passwords at. Add the security layers we run at the server level and a clinic site here is considerably harder to get into than one on typical shared hosting.

What exactly do I get with a "container"?

Your own isolated Docker container running Nginx, PHP-FPM, and WordPress. It's not shared hosting where you're competing with hundreds of other sites for the same WordPress installation. Your container has its own filesystem, its own database user, its own SSL, and its own NVMe storage. You can reboot it, redeploy it, or destroy it from your dashboard without asking anyone.

Do you back up my site?

We offer an optional Daily Backups add-on that takes a daily off-site snapshot of your full WordPress site (files plus database), keeps 7 days of history, and lets you download or one-click restore from your dashboard. You can add it at any time from your dashboard - we never silently charge for it. We strongly recommend it for any production site.

We also recommend exporting your WordPress content periodically yourself (Tools → Export in WP-Admin) and keeping copies offsite. Pricing for the add-on is shown on our website and in your dashboard.

Will you move my existing site over for me?

Yes, and it doesn't cost anything - it's included on both plans, and there is no setup fee, no migration fee and no minimum term attached to it. Tell us where the site is now and give us access, and we'll bring the files and the database across, get it running on our servers, check it over, and only then tell you exactly when to change your DNS. Your existing site stays up and serving visitors the entire time, so there's no window where your site is offline while we work.

While we're in there we'll set Cloudflare up for you as well, if you want it - free CDN, caching and DDoS protection in front of your site. That's also included, and also something we just do rather than something you buy.

If you'd rather move it yourself, you can: the dashboard has import tools that take the common WordPress backup formats, including All-in-One WP Migration and Duplicator archives. Either way, the answer to "what does the move cost" is nothing.

Do you offer a free trial?

No free trial, but the cost to try it is $5. If it's not right for you within the first month, email us and we'll refund it - no questions asked.
